Lit: A Place In The Sun

Released: February 23, 1999

A Place In the Sun is mostly known for the hit single, “My Own Worst Enemy”, which became one of the biggest hits of the year as well as a 90’s classic. While this album isn’t hailed as a great album, I will say that it is enjoyable and nostalgic. While the single I just mentioned is definitely the best part of this album, the rest is pretty enjoyable and makes for a fun listen from start to finish. For the most part, the songs are upbeat and fun with the exception of songs like “Miserable” and “Perfect One” which have a slower pace but don’t tarnish the fun of the album. The music of this album is pretty straight-forward pop-punk that works great for a summer day by the pool or at the beach.
