Three Days Grace has released their first album with replacement lead singer “Matt Walst” who has taken over for “Adam Gontier”. Gontier had been battling addiction and felt the only way for him to escape was to start fresh and that meant leaving the band. Walst has a somewhat similar style but the difference is very noticable. This album opens up a new chapter for this band. We’ll see if the fans tag along for the ride.
Day of the Dead is the fourth album from Hollywood Undead and the second third album with their re-formed line-up. This album follows the bands 2013 release “Notes From the Underground”. The band seems to be embracing the past and incorporating some old sounds into the newer evolved sound. Weather you have followed these guys from their pioneer days on Myspace, recently discovered them, or never heard of them; they are something different to check out.
Death Cab For Cutie is a band that has been around since the late 90’s, Kintsugi is the bands eighth studio album which follows up the 2011 album “Codes and Keys”. Most people probably know this band because of their 2005 album “Plans” which featured the hit songs “I Will Follow You Into the Dark” and “Soul Meets Body”. This band is more laid back than the two above and serves for an enjoyable, relaxed listening experience.
These are the new albums that I am listening to at this time and will provide reviews in the near future for. I thought I would mix it up from the regular flow of things with this post. Now, here are some upcoming releases that I am looking forward to hearing and eventually reviewing!
