Florence + The Machine: How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful

Florence and the Machine - How Big How Blue How Beautiful (Official Album Cover).png

Florence + The Machine have now established themselves after two successful albums, this one being their third. How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful is another enjoyable album to add to the growing list of music from this fairly young band. The music this band produces is unique with its almost magical feel that makes me think of artists such as Enya but carries a powerful energy and remains rooted in alternative rock. The previous two albums seemed to have themes that wondered more-so into the realm of fantasy while this album seems a little more rooted in the real world. This results in more depth throughout the album and more emotional expressions. At the end of the day, this album expresses the same magical feel that was demonstrated on the first two releases with an added depth. I would call this album a strong footprint that shows listeners that this band isn’t going to be just another band that had a successful album or two. They have found their identity as a band and this album really demonstrates this. If you are a fan of alternative rock  then do not miss this one! Their first two albums are great in their own ways but this album sounds much like a band catching their stride and continuing their rise to greatness. It’s fun, its filled with passion, and overall, it is magical from start to finish!
