Goo Goo Dolls: Let Love In

Let Love In starts off in a really warm, heart-felt place and builds on it throughout it’s entirety. This album does a good job of expressing and diving into emotional places without becoming a downer. Better Days is a great example of this. The song is very optimistic and talks of everyone coming together in hopes of better days rather than talking about the mess that might be it’s pondering about the beauty that can rise up from the ashes. The albums title track is a great song and holds up as one of the bands strongest hits. There aren’t any low points throughout the run of this album as it all works together well as one linear energy. This isn’t a “hit album” but one I find myself returning to from time to time because of the overall atmosphere it creates and pulls you into.
